SHERIDAN EDMONTON -- Age 26. Gender-Fluid. Currently a college student going for a degree in theatre costume design and the eldest in the group of idiots. They have a bit of trouble coping with their anger issues, and harbor a strong sense of insecurity about their appearance. But nevertheless, Sheridan does have a kind heart. It's just often shown as a tough love kind of attitude, earning them the nickname Ice Queen. Is canologically 'male,' but male or females can audition for this role (because boy, he's pretty!).

Vocal Range: Normal-Pitched
Vocal Personality: Sarcastic in tone and kind of bitter in most of their words. Gets awkward when people get emotional around them, and so they don't typically handle emotions too well overall. They can still be nice though. To everyone except for Trent, that is. Sheridan's also a really sassy character too, with a good blend of wit, sarcasm, and anger in their words.

  • "You know... We still have time... To escape, I mean. We can just call him up and say 'Hey! Sorry I can't show up today! I've got...' I don't know... 'Better things to do!' Simple, right?"

  • [sigh] "Look, Liam. It's okay to be sad. I get it! Sometimes you just have to cry it out. But what's not okay is being sad when you have friends -- US -- trying to make you feel better. I mean, you even have me here, and I'm not much of a comforter. That means something, right?"

  • (Improvise some angry break-up dialogue! The more comedic, the better! Sheridan is a very petty person, after all.)

Sheridan is probably one of the hardest character to voice, I feel, amongst the two projects I'm working on currently. There's this kind of blend of masculinity and femininity with Sheridan that's kind of hard to nail down. But with the tone you have -- especially in that first line -- was probably one of the most PERFECT examples of Sheridan's overall tone. There's this kind of sincere soft and feminine tone, but there's something still there that still shows that Sheridan is, well, a boy too. It's how Sheridan's kind of gender ambiguousness fits in, and I think you really hit it just right. Especially as you progress into that third line? Starting soft and then getting fully on 'I'M BREAKING UP WITH YOU,' that got me to laugh. Like, really hard too. I think this is a really solid Sheridan audition too. HOW AM I GOING TO PICK WHEN YOUR VOICE IS JUST SO GREAT? AAAH! --- Though I think the only bit of critique I have -- not voice-wise, but character-wise -- is kind of stick through the kind of sass that is Sheridan into the second line. It's kind of a fun thing of Sheridan smacking his hands on Liam's shoulder, glaring at him and going 'STOP' before finally being nice about stuff. As mentioned in the dialogue too, Sheridan's SO not a comforter person. So Liam's crying plus Sheridan's 'quick being a baby' demeanor are two very opposing things, and Sheridan, at this point, is literally trying his hardest not to smother Liam just to get him to quiet down, but he's also trying to be sincere and nice too. I think with that in mind, the comedy behind Sheridan being the 'Nice Queen' over the 'Ice Queen' can really be shown there, and I think you can pull it off!
