Alek is the poor unfortunate merman whumpee character of this first story. He, like the other characters of the story will not have many speaking lines, but he will require some grunts, moans, gasps ect. ect. along with his few outloud thought lines.
Mostly Looking for a male voice that can sound more frightened, nervous and pleading rather than angry with tone.
1. "I can’t take it! Make it stop, please, make it stop!"
2. "No, Wait, I can’t breathe because I-I’m not in water..."
3. "D-Don’t touch me!!"
Hi there! Thanks for your audition & interest in this project!! I of course cannot announce or judge any casting until after the deadline so everyone can have a fair chance at trying out- However since you have asked for a constructive critique, I can offer a little bit of advice on this one. I want to say that this sounds a much too whiny for this particular character. However, it does remind me of one of my very 'fabulous' guy friends when they are complaining to me about their bad day. (No ill intent or offense to anyone who actually is 'fabulous' here, ya'll rock the world!) So that said I do think you would be a good contender for a character that is made to be 'fabulous' like a drag queen or idk a fashion designer or something. (sorry-stereotypes I know!) I hope this critique helps in the very least! ^_^ Best of luck in any other projects!
