Rage of the Unsung - Magic Story Audio Drama
aerohed for Arrus
Arrus is a tattoo artist for the Gruul clans. The Gruul are anarchistic, anti-civilization, and very angry, trying to protect what little land is still theirs, still natural, in an ever-more industrialized world. Most Gruul feel rage about some grievance that drives their quest, but Arrus does not. He's small, weak, fawning. But once he does find his calling, no one will stop him from saving what he cares about.
Arrus is also the narrator of this tale, so in addition to his in character lines, you will need to read narration for the story - about 16 pages (~6500 words) in total.
"Dryzek is a legend! You remember when we were kids, gathering around the fire and listening to stories about how he pounded his fist into the middle of a town square and made all the buildings topple?"
"What are you talking about? I Rage all the time. Every day, nearly. So, so angry." [Trying and failing to fake it]
[Narration test] The hydra enrages at the sight of the ogre, hissing and spitting. You haven't seen Rage until you've seen a mother hydra protecting her clutch. The beast rears back, but right before it strikes, the ogre starts humming a low-pitched note, her arms waving back and forth in a hypnotic motion. At the tip of her prosthetic, she skillfully balances a thick, oblong skull. Goblin, probably. Within seconds, she's got all the hydra heads mesmerized. And then carefully, the ogre pulls a chunk of meat from the pocket in her apron, tucks it inside the skull, and launches the skull into the dark depths of the cave. The hydra breaks from the trance and chases after it.
