Male.  Late teens.  For someone so young, Curtis is quickly rising up the ranks as someone to be counted on in the thick of battle.  Many of his comrades praise the young man for his stoicism but, in reality, Curtis is painfully shy; the “perfect soldier” persona is one he puts on to keep people at a distance to prevent his social anxiety from affecting his performance.  Difficult to approach at first but when he lets someone into his small social circle, he's a friend for life.  Deep in his heart, Curtis is very reserved, mild-mannered and meek... perhaps to a flaw, since it can be construed as a lack of confidence.  But when those he loves are put in harm's way, Curtis goes full-on “beast mode” and is willing to give his own life to get them home.  God help the man who harms his little sister.

Voice type: medium / medium-high.  Aloof, but with an underlying warmth that shows when surrounded by the right company.

  • Laurent... What should I do? He came all this way to introduce himself, and I just completely blew him off.  It's all just a misunderstanding! Just, when people talk to me, my anxiety flares up and... I'm just no good at talking to people. Unless it's you or my sister...

  • Why didn't you fire? All you had to do was pull the trigger!

  • I, uh... I dunno about that. I've made my fair share of mistakes. Sometimes it's hard for me to tell right from wrong.  You're my best friend. Long as we stick together, I think we can make a difference.

Good start, but you MUST slow down - each of the three lines was delivered with the exact same cadence and speed. I did not get any significant emotional difference from one line to the other that convinced me of your performance. That said, slowing things down and adjusting your pacing and emphasis on certain words will definitely make any future auditions pop out. You're more than welcome to audition again with these notes in mind - it's a good jumping-off point!

    Was the pitch good atleast?

Maybe a bit lower, but overall no big issues. Pitch pretty much sounds fine.
