Fairly level headed but easily picked on, Riley is a country boy who descends the mountains for the first time to see the world. His mother and father are a mystery, though become clear late in the adventure. He was born elsewhere and taken to the mountain village by Zephyr, where he was raised. Later in the adventure, he is revealed to be merely an avatar to something called the 'Hex Dragon'.
