Yayoi is a city-bred man who likes to boast his superiority over the country-bred folk. As candidate for Spring Village chieftain next term, he is well connected. He is comfortable around Ayu and considers himself Ayu's guardian or older brother. Although he is critical of those he views as country-bred, he still considers everyone in the troop to be his friends.

He is originally aware of the curse on the Heroine because the Spring Village chieftain entrusted him with the information. He sometimes wears glasses, likes sake, and seems to have a good sense of fashion.

Yayoi has amber colored eyes, long blond hair tied up with a black hair clutch and long bangs with a braid on one side of his face. He is the descendant of Sohma, a ninja from the wind village in Destiny Ninja.

Yayoi is the candidate for the next Spring Village chieftain. The MC and Yayoi have been close in childhood along with Ayu, whom Yayoi has taken care of. His hardworking attitude gains everyone's trust that he is expected to play a important role for the growth of the Spring Village. Though he is known for his kind nature, he is severely allergic to those who are from rural areas, which prevent him from developing a healthy relationship with Kaito, Shiroya, Ran, and Fuyukiku. His dark past is revealed when his long lost brother suddenly appears
