Backstory: Akira Hoshino was raised by two wealthy parents, both of which wanted their daughter to be perfect. They planned out things from her hobbies/extracurricular activities to what she would eat. At first, Akira was alright with everything because she liked when people praised her, however as she grew older Akira became bored of everything since there was no point to her extra skills. Akira asked her father why all of these things were necessary, and he told her that one day he would step down from his company and she would take over. This shocked Akira, not because she was happy but because she thought her father's job was boring. After thinking this over she told her parents that she wanted to live freely, but they disapproved. This outcome led Akira to defy her parents and quit all of her lessons (except singing) and sign up for dance. While she was hanging out with a group of male friends, someone handed her a flier for an idol performance. When they went to see them perform, the boys made fun of how they danced and sung, but Akira hushed them. She was mesmerized by the fact that they were having fun and didn't care about the negative comments from the audience. Being an idol was the escape she needed. Akira told her parents about her discovery and they shut her down, but Akira didn't care, she knew what she wanted. She joined a dance group to further her experience, and afterwards tried to stay away from home as much as possible. While Akira was out an I MY ME producer approached her asking if she would be interested in joining the idol program. Akira immediately accepted without a thought of her parents, and a little later Rinko invited Akira to Interlunium.
