Pearl is one of the longest-standing members of the Crystal Gems. Back on Homeworld she belonged to Pink Diamond, but when Pink fell in love with Earth and decided to fight for the planet as Rose Quartz, Pearl fought by her side as a free gem. Pearl harbored romantic feelings for Pink/Rose, so when Steven was born she blamed him for the death of his mother; but as time passes she learns to move on.

I was going to drink a juice and wear these -- ugh -- pants! And hit people gently enough as to not actually hurt them, and you'd say, "Wow, Pearl is really cool!" But nooo, instead, we drove to loud music, chased a mysterious woman into the night, and broke the law. Ugh, I've lost my edge. I should have stayed home with the puzzle.
Rose didn't have a lion! Because if Rose had a lion I would have known about it! [Amethyst: Yo! youre not the only one that misses her], YOU CANT UNDERSTAND HOW I FEEL, NONE OF YOU HAVE WHAT WE HAD!
