Devious Toaster for NCR soldier

Voice Actor
Voice Actor
NCR soldier
closed
Unpaid
Role assigned to: Brian Vedette

Tone:   Baritone  (No exceptions).  Your natural speaking voice.

Accent:  North American accent.  Can't take any British or European or Southern accent.

Age:  28-35.

Race: Caucasian

Personality:  Stern, military

Background:

In charge of protecting the farmers and crops from wastelanders, he makes sure the water stays pumping from Lake Mead and that the farmers are generally happy. He was contacted by Corporal White, but didn't believe him about the water shortage. He believes that White is a glory hound and is admittedly a soldier, not a thinker.

  • (Stern) (Terse) (Military)

What is it, trooper? You're not assigned to my squad, as far as I know.

    (Stern) (Terse) (Military) (Annoyed)
I'm not a recruitment officer. If you want to join the army, I'm sure someone at McCarran can point you in the right direction.

    (Military tone)
We can't have wastelanders popping in here for a free meal, so my squad and I are assigned to keep things from going to hell.

    (Proud) (military tone)
Impressive, aren't they? You don't see anything like this outside of NCR territory, that's for sure.

    (irritated) (military tone)
He's a glory hound, always looking for a way to get promoted to Ranger. Thinks he's too good to be a regular trooper like the rest of us.

(corrected) (feels stupid) (trying to act smart) (military tone)
I... really don't see the connection.  Look, I'm a soldier, not a scientist. I just do my job.

[M] This voice is very good. The closest I've seen so far. But that mic. That's odd. That's an AT2035. That should be crystal-clear. Something is wrong with the mic settings. I've seen that mic before. It should sound crystal-clear but your mic is having issues. Maybe someone here can help. I don't know what it is. I just know that something's off with the sound. Great voice. Great acting. Age in range. Tone is right. Mic is no good though.

well i've just reinstalled windows very recently, and only have audacity for recording. I honestly know nothing about sound design and production, and am always open to help - but i always send raw auditions as most people like to tweak the audio to their liking. Very appreciative for the constructive notes though, thank you!

just a suggestion but have you tried any other audio recording software to see if the quality is different? my recommendations would be trying reaper.

I can help with the sound. Noticing that's an issue that you've had in other auditions too. I can try to figure out what's going on and help with the sound. Send me a PM. Please note that (awkward) it would require you to send me a photo of your mic and its surroundings so I understand if it's something you don't want to do, etc.
