[CLOSED] Brave New World: The Final Chapter
beardyman for Renolds (injured soldier)
Tone: Medium-high, medium and baritone are acceptable.
Age: 28 to 35++
Accent: North-American (no exceptions)
Classification: Soldier
For this role, I can't take any voices that sound anywhere from 17 to 22. Fallout: New Vegas generally doesn't have teenager/young adult voice-actors.
I'm looking to get someone who can do the voice of Renolds as Emerson Brooks didn't really do the best job of conveying the right emotions for the character.
What's challenging about this character is that he needs to sound like he's in desperate need and help but he needs to sound like a soldier.
(needs help) (desperation) (thankful you're there)
Thank goodness you're here. My squad needs help!
(Anxious)
Any word on my friends?..Have you heard anything??
(needs help) (desperation) (thankful you're there)
My squad was ambushed by a Legion party lead by Alexus. He was taking us into the mine up ahead... but I managed to get away...I...I need to help my friends. They're still in there!! Please...you need to help me!!
(Anger) (Frustrated)....
This is an emergency.. How can you be asking for payment?
(Despondent) (sad)
There's no way I can take on the Legion by myself.
(thankful)
Really? I can't thank you enough.
(desperation)(friends in danger)(gravely concerned)
Can you hurry?!! ... My friends won't last long with all the radiation in there
Can I ask you a favor for both of your takes? Can you give me the raw audio for both takes? These two seem more professional DJ-ifieid but I want a raw take. lmk.
If by raw you mean unedited, these files have not been edited in any way. This was simply recorded and uploaded. If you want the base or anything like that taken out, then that would involve editing them just to lower the base. Aside from that, both auditions went from recording to CCC.
I see. Ok, for some reason the audio is coming out too boomy. That's not necessarily a bad thing. Usually it's great for podcasts, professional radio, etc. But for this videogame, like...if I was sitting at a table...and I heard that voice you put in your audition....across the table.....people don't sound like that....can't explain it....I can't explain but I know exactly what I want..but can't explain it.
I'll record it again in the morning and send you another version. See if I can't get rid of the boom. Because listening to old auditions/projects I've done, they were no where near as boomy. Something, don't know what mind you, might have happened in my software somewhere.
