As a con artist, Theo is very skilled at deception and disguise. He changes his appearance and name every time he travels to a different town, and only a few can recognize him. He is also a natural born liar, to the point that Efi cannot manifest his lies. He is also skilled at recognizing if someone is lying without Efi's help, and is capable of deduction, allowing him to work out who is responsible for certain actions.
In every part, Theo takes of a new identity. The identities are in this order; Leo, Harold Radford (Hal), Sid, Lying Theo (possessed by lies). Each identity has it's own personality and his voice is slightly different for each.
You must be able to read all of the lines in each of his personas. They will be marked in the audition lines.
Personas:
Theobald Leonhart:
Voice Type: Medium-Low - Medium / Casual, blunt, laid-back. precise, practical, sarcastic, independent, indifferent, caring, responsible
This is his true name. He has a casual and laid-back way of speaking. His normal personality sometimes comes out from his personas when he is talking to someone he knows, (like the police dragons or Efi) or when he is annoyed. He is starts off particularly cold to Efi in the first part, but gradually warms up to her and learns to love her as her caretaker.
Leo:
Voice Type: Low - Medium-Low (slightly lower than Theobald Leonhart) / Calculating, precise, intimidating, serious
Theo's persona in part I. This persona is especially cold and no-nonsense. He is generally polite to others, but he speaks in a much more serious tone than his regular self.
Hal:
Voice Type: Medium - High / Friendly, polite, innocent, kind, energetic
Theo's persona in part II. Theo steals the clothing and ID from a drunk guard to infiltrate a resort. This guard is 18 years old and is very friendly and polite. Theo acts very energetic, polite and eager to help in this disguise.
Sid/Theo:
Voice Type: Medium-Low - Medium (the voice type is the same as Theobald Leonhart) / Polite, casual, friendly, kind
Theo's persona in part III. Although we don't know Theo's true appearance, this is supposed to be the closest to his regular look. He is much friendlier to Efi at this point in the game and he is more laid-back. This persona is also called Theo because in this part, his real name is used interchangeably with his fake name.
Lying Theo:
Medium-Low - Medium (the voice type is the same as Theobald Leonhart) / Maniacal, insane, intimidating,
Theo is unable to control his lies and becomes overtaken. He becomes maniacal, evil, and can no longer able to think with reason.
If you audition for this character, also audition for (Child) Theobald Leonhart.
(As Theo) My face, name, and all this other stuff would stick with them, and they'd hate it. If those bad feelings get big enough, they could bring harm to yourself or others. That’s why I change my appearance and name at each town.
(chipper/exaggerated) So they won’t feel bad…!
(sarcastic/flat) How kind of me, huh.(As Leo) Last night, your sister saw you leaving the house, Keith. You told me that your sister was a quiet type who rarely spoke… But she did talk to this girl here.
(As Hal) Actually… We’re looking for our mother. Our dad’s already passed away. So we left home without hesitation, and now we’re traveling to find mom. But we need money for that… So I just have to keep taking brief jobs like these…
(As Hal) I see! Thank you very much!
