The group's soft-hearted optimist.

A little scattered, a little naive, prone to bouncing between spiritual fads (a running joke with an edge, given her history with a cult). Penny is underestimated by everyone around her, including herself, but she's the one who ends up quietly, terrifiedly heroic when it counts. Needs an actor comfortable with big comedic energy who can also sell genuine panic and grief without losing the character's essential sweetness.

The sides they read from:

  • "Turns out Spike sucks at trying to kill people. He only nicked me in the shoulder." (gallows humor holding the fear at bay)

  • "I brought some of my company’s books too! Let’s see, I’ve got ‘Leave it to Baby,’ ‘Green Baby Acres,’ ‘Gilligan’s Island of Babies’… Ok, you got me; it's mostly just a cash grab—but the paintings I did for them are so cute." (rambling, high energy)

  • "But w-what if she isn't dead? What if you were wrong?" (voice cracking, refusing to accept it)
