Additional Voices (Child Female)

This role covers all female child background and minor characters in The Ones Who Never Left. Actors/actresses cast here may voice multiple small roles, such as elementary-aged girls, frightened children, background classmates, or incidental young characters who appear briefly throughout the story.

This role is ideal for actors/actressses who can deliver natural, grounded performances with a youthful tone. The delivery should feel realistic and subtle - never exaggerated, overly cutesy, or cartoony unless the scene specifically calls for it.

Characteristics:

• Child female voice (approx. 7-13 range)

• Natural, grounded delivery

• Able to portray multiple small child characters with slight tonal differences

• Comfortable with neutral, emotional, or frightened scenes

• Can shift between casual, timid, curious, or stressed voices

• Realistic acting preferred over theatrical or “baby voice” styles

Vocal Notes:

• Higher female voice (childlike tone required)

• Conversational, natural delivery

• Ability to adjust intensity depending on the character

• Should sound like real children, not caricatures

• Emotional range: neutral → scared → concerned → casual
