Admiral Balderdash is the titular character of this story! He's an old, accomplished, naval man who sails across the seas in the name of adventure. He's a bit of a blowhard, always willing to run headfirst into danger without thinking of the consequences at first. Balderdash should be beaming with enthusiasm and fun! He loves what he does, he loves looking for treasure, he loves killing sea monsters! He always speaks his mind, even though it may not be appropriate to the situation, but it's always funny!

The story begins with Balderdash narrating his last days as an adventurer from the belly of a giant sea beast, the Dunkleosteus! The actor who plays Balderdash will have a large amount of lines seeing as how he'll essentially be playing Balderdash at two different times (a narrator) (Balderdash in flashbacks.)

Admiral Eustace Q. Balderdash should have a bellowing laugh, a gruffer voice, with a refined, gentlemanly, English accent. Think something akin to a free-spirited Mr Harrimen from Fosters.

  • Do
you know what I see in you? I see a fire for adventure! It's the same
flame that burns deep within my bosom! Only mine is much better and
    more handsome!

  • A
    fine philosophy! If
you ask me, I’d say the world has enough riff-raff to go around. What
with pirates, sea monsters, socialism. The
least we can offer is the promise of doing right by others. And
perhaps, in response they will do right by us!

  • 13
    shillings, my CabooseShute! Seems
these days if you kill a sea serpent, the best people can give is a
    pat on the trousers!
