Danganronpa: First Blood
Mystery Maker for Tano Hotaka - Ultimate Racer
(Tah-noh Hoh-tah-kah)
Gender: Male
A master of all levels of speed, Tano Hotaka goes above and beyond as the Ultimate Racer. More than just car racing, Tano is a professional in foot racing, jockeying, cycling, and has even tried his hand at speedrunning. He's incredibly successful in his field, and likes to see himself as a pretty well known celebrity- and is subsequently crushed whenever someone doesn't recognize him. Moving on from his ego, he's incredibly laid back, often to a fault, and doesn't think a lot of things all the way through before saying them. This can lead to difficulties for him to take things seriously when they are needed to, and often ends with him spewing out stupid theories and claims that only derail situations.
As a person, he's practically the embodiment of speed. He moves fast, speaks fast, and lives fast. Through most of his story, he's jokey, loud, and a little bit arrogant. He usually doesn't take things seriously, but when he does, there's a real sense of maturity that peaks through. Being able to get all of these aspects is something that can really elevate a performance for Tano. He's likely got a higher pitched voice, with a sense of vanity to his tone (of course, this is up to the voice actor on if they want to try something else). It's also suggested that voice actors who are good at louder recordings or shouting audition for Tano, since he does it a lot.

(Full of himself, shifting to a smaller, broken tone) “Heh, that’s pretty nice, but prepare to be amazed! You are in the presence of the one and only Tano Hotaka! The Ultimate Racer! ...You're amazed, right? Speechless?" (Naka: "Never heard of you.") “Never… heard of…? H--Hold on, I just need to--... I’m gonna sit down, I need to… I..."
(Suddenly calmer, more genuine) “Look, man, I’m trying to keep upbeat here, okay? If I’m being real, I don’t care. He’s my dad. I like my dad. Move away from the dad thing, ‘kay? I’m trying to keep on the positive side, here… stressful, y’know? I just wanna look on the bright side! Keeping fit! Thinking about the future! Thinking about home! Thinking of dad!”
(Cool, unfittingly casual) "“I feel ya, man. It’s definitely not something I ever expected to happen in my life. Winning? Totally. Running? It’s a given. Crashing? It’ll happen sooner or later. But a crazy fucked up death game straight outta Kaiji: Ultimate Survivor? Yeah, no, that’s not something I coulda ever predicted…”
