Please sing 30 seconds or more of any part of the song you like! I ask that you sing in your full potential singing voice, meaning that you should sing like you would in a live situation. Please do not add effects, but you may harmonize your vocal lines if you wish! I would also prefer if you have the background track on too. Oh and please have a pop filter of some sort.

Exception to the Japanese language
: I can make an exception to make this an english cover instead, if you can show me that it sounds good in english. In fact, I would encourage you to prove me wrong as I would love to hear this song in english, but in my ears, the Japanese feels natural and smooth, while sometimes, English translation sounds rigid and strange in lyrics. I would say this is subjective depending on how the singer sings :). So have at it! Oh and feel free to modify any english lines that you feel that would be better. Also, keeping the line "Ima Suki Ni Naru" in the lyrics I think would be really cool in hybrid with english (since it references the song title).

Sorry for the late reply! I was working on homework and was trying to transcribe the song by ear for the guitar today. As Amy said, that was excellent! The voice pitch is exactly what I was looking for. Just out of curiosity, what microphone are you using?

Ah, I use a Blue Yeti (and a separate pop filter because I'm cheap)! I thought about buying the Snowball cuz it's cheaper and cuter, then realized I probably shouldn't choose my microphones based on cuteness and went with the Yeti. The boxing was still super cute, honestly.

Haha, I've owned the snowball, but I returned it on Amazon for a MXL V67g microphone. The snowball didn't seem to cut it (quality incredibly felt off) so I exchanged it! The yeti microphone lines aren't bad, but my ears are used to "higher quality" sound now due to the fact that I spend a lot of time trying to analyze songs to cover! My recording setup for acoustic guitar (would be same for vocals) is: Microphone --> Audio Interface (Focusrite Scarlett Solo) --> Laptop (into my audio workshop). If you ever get the chance you should try an XLR microphone (ex. Shure SM57) and you'll need something like a preamp and connection to computer (ex. blue icicle) and see how you like the quality compared to the yeti! Keep in mind the yeti has a built in preamp so the cost could of the mic could be $55(Microphone)+$55(Preamp). It could be divisible by 3 instead, since the microphone also needs a "converter". While the Shure SM57($100) + Blue Icicle($50) = $150. The preamp I use is $100 (focus rite solo). So the yeti is just simply built from cheaper parts since it has to include a preamp, while the Shure SM57 is simply built as a microphone and the blue icicle is simply just built to be a preamp. If this sounds confusing, basically I'm trying to say, try out an XLR microphone if you can (I suggest Shure SM57 since it is outstandingly popular! Oh and watch out for counterfeits if you buy it from anywhere other than an official place) ^_^. I thought your audition was very excellent and would love to see how you would sound like with higher gear in the future (minus the "room acoustics"). Your Japanese also felt very fluid, did you learn Japanese by any chance? I saw your covers and they were very enjoyable! Lots of great songs covered such as Deep Sea Girls, Clean Freak (I plan to do a cover), and the Kagerou Project song (In love with the composer, his songs are incredible, and the storyline too! Also plan to cover this).

Thanks for the input on the equipment! I'll look into those, but for now I'm looking into getting better headphones. My brother's old ones leak sound a lot and the cover is peeling off now. I haven't learned, but I'm told I'm good with languages, and have picked up a surprising amount. I'm actually starting to learn a little bit, but only sparingly as I'm currently enrolled in both Chinese and Spanish at my school, having just dropped Korean after a year's study to better focus on higher level classes. Thanks so much for your compliments and I'm really looking forward to seeing your uploads on YouTube as well!

I'm fairly bad at languages, considering I only know English and I don't even know my own native tongue (Vietnamese)! I own a ATH-M30x headphone myself mainly for mixing, since everything sounds a lot clear to pinpoint details. Your definitely on top for the position right now, but I hope you don't mind if I let this run for a week in case anyone else was preparing to audition (just to respect the people who have school or any time consuming activity). I finished translating the guitar parts, so I'll be working on the acoustic and the bass soon. Oh and I saw your recent upload and that cover was very nice considering that the guitar felt at the same volume as your vocals, so I'm really looking forward to having you for the cover!

Oh, I guess my comment didn't get posted earlier. Concerning the ongoing of the audition, I would do the same thing! As much as I'd like to get cast, there very may well be someone much better who can't audition yet due to things like school. And thanks for the compliment about my cover!
