    Elias is guarded, intelligent, and deeply unsettled; someone trying desperately to maintain control while reality slips out from under him. His fear is subtle at first: tight breaths, clipped phrasing, restraint. As the scene progresses, that restraint fractures into panic. The actor must convey internal terror without melodrama, reacting to sound and implication as much as spoken words. Vulnerability is key.
