"Evermore" [A full length 3D animated series]

1)"I've seen what you're destined to become...and 'special' isn't how I would describe it."
2)"Bullshit. Everyone seeks survival, no matter what form it takes. For a tomorrow...us 'Runaways' would slaughter each other and not one person in the world would bat a fucking eye to it.""Not a fan of subtlety...or survivors. The bodies we leave here will serve as a message. The patience we have shown until now was a privilege and one that has gone undeserved. We have been pegged as cowards, the media even going so far as to name us, 'The Runaways.' Personally, I'm not too amused by that. Then again, I don't imagine the people of Isha being too amused of what we've done here tonight. [smiles] Isn't karma just a bitch?"
[Agitated, slowly becoming more furious. Tone calms and becomes spiteful after the pause.]
"I'm the one who took up the responsibility as leader when you wouldn't. I'm the one, a normal civilian, who's out there risking my life to ensure a better future for you and all these other Malignant. I am the one who has given EVERYTHING for a cause that I couldn't give a shit about! [pause] No one...not a single one of you have any right to judge me. All I ever wanted was to be with you, Luke, and Bubby. I just wanted to live a quiet life together, even if that meant letting the world tear itself apart in the background."
I liked what you were going for here, but it doesn't quite fit what I had imagined for Grace. Sure, she commits some very horrible actions and doesn't think wrong of it. However, she doesn't see herself as evil. In fact, the concept of 'evil' and 'good' is nonexistent in "Evermore." It sounded as if you were flaunting that characteristic in the lines. "Look how EVIL I am!" People don't naturally do that. People do things that negatively effect others, typically, because they feel cheated by something, spiteful toward someone, or possibly restricted. A person can be labelled as bad from a select few actions, but more often than not, they have good qualities within them. Just have to present a situation where they can showcase it. If you would like to re-audition with this in mind, please do so. I welcome it and appreciate you taking the time to audition in the first place and taking interest in the project. Thank you
I definitely wasn't going for flaunting an evil tone, but was definitely focusing on the spiteful and confident character traits, which is probably what makes it come off as proud of being evil. I am away from my recording space currently, but I can try another read with more pain/sadness behind it if you'd prefer.
If you'd be willing to, I'd love to hear another take.
