Paid: Flat Rate 30 USD
Role assigned to: Lea Lawson

Description:

Eliot is the human host of the Broadway Broadcast, broadcasting from post-war Staten Island. Born post-war, they drifted through settlements until stumbling onto enough gear to run a radio station. They hate Manhattan and New York in general and avoid it, but broadcast from Staten Island—just close enough to see the glow. They feel that someone running the station is required, simply to warn others of the wasteland. They claim to just run the station as a means of filling the air, but sometimes their genuine affection for the music and their mutant co-host and friend, Harker, sometimes bleeds through. Still, Eliot (known as El by listeners) at the surface level is sarcastic and dismissive, often sounding flat and cynical, but never more than just moody.

Voice Type:

Gender-neutral (or female), human, mid-20s to 40s. Flat, sardonic, a little weary, but not monotone. They undercut sentimentality with biting humor but sometimes slip and reveal real care beneath the cynicism

Requirements:

  • Main host of the radio
  • Around 200 lines as of now, mostly intros and outros for songs, news and survival PSAs
  • Eliot's voice is sarcastic and has obvious bad blood with the area, but they still seem to enjoy the station
  • High quality audio, akin to other characters in the Fallout games

Language:
  • english
Voice description:

  • If you’re in Manhattan, good luck. If you’re not in Manhattan, better luck - don’t go there.

  • Here’s ‘What Should I Do.’ by the Paulette Sisters. Good question. Around here, the choices are usually bad or worse.

  • Your gun is going to save your life. Or it won’t, because you were too lazy to clean it. Rust, sand, even dried blood can jam the action. Oil it if you can. If you don’t have oil, a few drops of Brahmin fat will do. If you can’t even manage that, you might as well tape a sign to your chest that says, ‘Please shoot me, my gun doesn’t work.'
