Jade is a mysterious young woman who was found lost and confused in an alleyway by Detective Cavanagh. Suffering from amnesia, she struggles to understand the visions and fragmented memories that plague her.
There is little that Jade recalls prior to the night in the alleyway. She knows that she is being hunted and that she is in danger. Protected by Cavanagh, she discovers that she has a knack for painting, and through her art she begins to uncover more memories. A bond grows between her and Cavanagh, who she sees as a father figure of sorts. Cavanagh, for his part, is strongly reminded of his late daughter Annie as he attempts to protect Jade from her pursuers.
As her memories eventually begin to return, Jade discovers she has a dark past tied to a shadowy figure from her visions. As time runs out, Jade knows that she must make sense of her past before both she and Cavanagh fall victim to the dark forces that surround them.

(Jade paints a self portrait in an attempt to stimulate her memory; however, when it’s done, she feels hopeless since she doesn’t recognise the face staring back at her; tries to explain her feelings) “I’m saying I don’t see myself in this painting because I don’t really know who I am. I have no memory of my life. No friends or family, no home. It’s all gone. So... who exactly am I supposed to be?”
(Jade tries to comfort a friend who lost his daughter some years ago; compassionate) “I saw a man who gave his daughter a love that was pure and unconditional. He nurtured her and gave her every opportunity to thrive. And when she was lost, it was through no fault of his own.”
(As she starts to regain her memories, Jade realises that she has lived through some terrible events in the past and begins to question whether she even wants those memories back; angry and frustrated) “Seeing my parents get sick and wasting away before my eyes? Living on the streets for years, cold and starving, and doing all kinds of horrible things just to stay alive? Why would I want to remember that?”
