Passage of the Wanderer: A Firnuvan Tale
paladinus for The Wanderer
The definitive player character. Woke up in the middle of the Nimekal Woods alongside an unconscious Lumiya with no memory of the preceding events beforehand or even knowledge of the universe around them. They’re guided and defined by the choices actually made by the player with the help of the Guiding Voice. The character is customizable and will feature five different voices to choose from; male and female alike.
“They-They have ears! Ears like a cat! And, and, they’re lifting things with their mind-or, or is that magic? I-I don’t know!”
“Everybody keeps mentioning this ‘Darkfang’ person, who exactly were they and why is it everyone either reveres them or despises them?”
“I can’t exactly recall who I was before, but I was evidently a hero, and I am determined to continue being that for the people of Qumak!”
Has anyone ever told you, you sound like the speaking voice of 2D from the Gorillaz? Add in a bit more voice cracking and the resemblance would be uncanny. Anyway, you have excellent presence and tone, but it feels like the stakes aren't high enough for you. You seem mildly undone by the circumstances around you rather than blown away. Like you just spilled your coffee rather than witnessing magic and fantasy before your eyes for the first time ever. Particularly in the protagonist, the stakes need to always be set to 10 since we're dealing with world destruction, over the top villains, and crazy magical abilities.
Thanks for the feedback! You are the first to draw that comparison, but I can kind of hear some resemblance. I've uploaded another take with a bit more urgency to the delivery, as requested.
