Young Squall is the child counterpart of our leading man, Squall Leonhart. Much like his teenaged counterpart, he is quiet, sullen, and always seen alone. He has a close connection to Ellone and is noticeably affected when she leaves one day. It is this event that brought Squall to close himself up from the world and create the wall he has around himself during the events of the game. He is speculated to be about 5 years of age.
The VA will often need to sound sad as the character is most often seen wallowing about his "Big Sis". While this is not the only emotion young Squall portrays, it is the most common one.
"...Sis... I'm...all alone. But, I'm doing my best... I'll be okay without you, Sis. I'll be able to take care of myself." -- Young Squall heartbroken that his older sister has abandoned him. He is alone, staring at the ground, wondering what he might have done wrong while resolving to grow strong in her absence.
