She's one of the gym leaders for the series.  Her father was the previous gym leader and trained her in the art of poison types and to be a ninja. Originally she was only trained to be another member of Team Rocket, just like her father to serve Giovanni. But after their defeat and disbandment, she hasn't seen or heard from him since. Leaving her with a sense of regret of not being able to as good as him, but also heartbroken since her original purpose doesn't exist. However, she does care heavily for him, she takes over his position at the gym as promised and gets defensive when his name is brought up in slander.
