THIS IS NO LONGER A PAID ROLE!!! Due to the large volume of submissions I have received, only auditions that have EXPLICITLY stated willingness to work for free, either in the comments or in a direct message to me will be considered for the role. (If you have already messaged me, adding a comment to your audition reminding me of such will not hurt. If your audition already has a comment saying you will work for free, please do not message me just to tell me the same thing.)

IN MY HEAD: This section was deliberately left blank. I don't recommend putting on a voice unless you are willing to keep that voice on all day.

  • Alek was sitting on his bed cleaning his sword, the ragged cloth gliding silently over a blade polished to perfection. (Calm)

  • An elbow to the gut and Gwenevere broke free. She ran until she saw the ground ahead catch fire. (Frantic)

Audio quality is holding you back a lot there. The sensitivity on your mic is WAY too high. You're peaking out majorly.

Hello! Would I have the chance to reaudition? I believe I can sort my level problem.

Audition as many times as you like. Even if the website says you've hit your limit, just send me links to audio files. By the way, I have told SO MANY PEOPLE they were peaking only to discover that most of them weren't. (I was reading the wave form wrong.) This is going to be the weirdest thanks ever, but thank you for actually having your levels too high. The number of people who didn't after I told them they did has been making me feel like a complete moron.

I thought it was a little weird. I work in broadcasting professionally and I hard limit to -3db. I'm going to audition again just in case. Thanks again! Let me know if you need any help with audio editing or something.

From one professional to another, the correct term for sounding "too ghetto" is urban. If you have to apologize for a racist comment, then you are racist. I would have perfectly understood I was not a good fit for the book without the unnecessary and unprofessional comment about a child facing prejudice. Good luck on your book.

You're right, it was, and I probably am. I deleted the comments. But "urban" eh? Never heard that word before, though I shall use it. (I always overshare in these things, because I know that the more awkward something is to say to an actor, the more likely I'm the first to say it but not the first to think it. I don't think that was true in this case, but that's why I have the habit in general.)

Now that I have learned a new word, I want to practise it by using it in a sentence: If I ever get a role that requires an Urban voice, I will remember you. Because that is one of the best Urban voices I have ever heard.
