This role is for a female research project leader. She should be commanding, sharp and to the point.  I think a posh English or Scottish accent would work well.  Like one of Maggie Smith's no-nonsense characters:

The part is only about 300 words so it shouldn't take more than 30-45 minutes.

  • "The colony seems to have made significant progress, perhaps it is time we began phase 2 of the trial"

  • "Excellent, lets see how they handle a few more, shall we?"

  • "Very well, purge the formicarium."

This was a really great performance, you definitely got a feel for the character. Sorry you didn't get the part. The only thing I would add is that you are a little fast. Thanks for auditioning!
