Mettaton is a performer for the Underground who is absolutely Fabulous in every way. As he begins to perform for humans above ground, shifting all the focus onto himself as he always has, he finds his appeal slipping and his Determination to please the crowd, greater than ever before. Mettaton’s actor will need to have a strong belt and a versatile range centered around Tenor, with good control over falsetto to hit higher notes. The character exudes an air of star-power and self-projected superiority over everyone else, and needs to be equally commanding and enticing, but still able to show weakness and “humanity”.
