Alfred Drevis is the husband of Monika Drevis and the father of Aya Drevis, serving as both the person who needs to be rescued, as well as the primary antagonist. He is a mad scientist who has been turning people into dolls alongside his assistant, Maria. Once his late-wife comes back from the dead as a vengeful ghost, his daughter goes on a quest to save him.

Alfred is a psychopath who is obsessed with preserving beauty by making dolls out of living humans. He tends to lure in unsuspecting people with promises of goodwill and intention, such as taking in homeless people or asking someone to work for him and his family. Once they take the bait, He'll treat them kindly for a bit before eventually revealing his true colors, after which he'll use them to perform his horrific experiments.

Even during his youth, Alfred was not a good person. He often killed small animals for fun, which his mother disapproved of. When he finally grew tired of her lectures, he decided to silence her with a kitchen knife. Afterwards, he wiped the blood off of her face, upon which he noticed how pretty her dead face looked. This event would lead him into his obsession with preserving beauty.

In spite of his cruelty, he'll often spare people whom he finds either "helpful" or "useful." His wife is one such person, as she owned a large estate and mansion, as well as her grandfather's research into turning humans into dolls, the latter which fed into his obsession. Another one would be Maria, his assistant. He intended to turn her into a doll, but decided to keep her alive when he found out how good her medical skills are. However, once he's finished with them, or if they happen to do something that he perceives as a slight against him, Alfred will nonchalantly kill them in cold blood.

Despite the overwhelming macabre personality, there is a surprisingly lighter side to him. Though he did kill his own mother, it's made quite clear Alfred loved her as any son would. While trying to raise his daughter, he began to notice Aya appeared to be going down the same path he did when he was a child. Not wanting her to turn out like he did, he attempted to raise her to be good while teaching her right from wrong.

The mad doctor is also implied to have a dark sense of humor. During his chase with Aya, Alfred rather childishly attempted to scare his daughter by shouting "Boo!" when he managed to open the door slightly, before he fully busted it open. He also viewed their chase as nothing more than a game of tag.

One diary entry implies that there is a part of Alfred that regrets how he turned out, though beyond trying to raise Aya to be good, he makes no effort to better himself.
