Grace finds herself lost after her mother's disappearance. Despite being beaten and mistreated, she still loves her mother wholeheartedly and struggles to comprehend her own feelings. She loves her dad and grandmother and worries about them, especially her dad, who has alcohol problems.She constantly blames herself, thinking she did something wrong, and bears obvious emotional scars from her mother's abuse.

Despite everything she has gone through, she's still a little girl and acts like it.
