Growing up as the sole caretaker for herself and her brother after her father's death and her mother's contraction of the plague, Ara grew up in poverty. After graduating college on a full ride, she signed up for the Cryodiscovery program, which sent her out into space while cryogenically frozen as a last-ditch attempt to make first contact in exchange for large payments made to her relatives. Ara stays frozen for millions of years, and the galaxy as she knew it is gone, and humanity has changed...

She is confused, but is under the impression that she has not been frozen long and is on a human Mars colony.) “...The Milky Way… Sol? (Context for line 2 - Ara ran away from Rhun on a space station and was almost taken captive by a gang. Rhun quickly dispatched them, leaving Ara afraid and in disbelief.) “You killed them all. (Break) You killed them all and you’re not even hurt! (Break) They were armed and there’s not even a scratch on you! (Break) What do you want with me?”
(Context for line 3 - Rhun and Ara are at a Manti party and joking around. Ara should sound playful and comfortable.) “I’ve never had champagne before. (Break) I hadn’t reached the legal drinking age yet when I left Earth. (break) Well you can also drink acid *Scoff* (Break) I don’t see why not. Unless it’s like bug champagne or something.”
