A member of the Rookie 9 and Konoha 12. He is brilliant as he is lazy, with an IQ of over 200. Throughout the series, this character develops to shed his slacker way of thinking and becomes a skilled tactician. His portrayal should reflect this (with his defining moment of shedding his childhood laziness occurring in his teenage years).

Apathetic or slacker tone. He should not sound very slow, but at times, his voice can drag somewhat. A rasp is preferred. 

This character appears throughout the series as a supporting (and sometimes lead) character. 

Medium pitch as an adolescent.

Medium low as an older teen.

Lower than that, but not exactly low as an adult.

All three versions are required.

  • CHILD LINE: [Longingly] Oh man... those clouds are so lucky. So free. [dismissive] I didn't even feel like doing this in the first place. And I only became a ninja because I thought life would've been more interesting as one... [relenting] I suppose things aren't gonna be that simple.

    ADULT LINE: Regardless of our limitations, we can always be of some use. Our power may seem insignificant... but it may just prove to be useful in the grand scheme of things. Stay focused. Never avert your eyes, because if an opening arises, even our insignificant power may be enough to determine the fate of the world. Which is why everyone must stay alert and ready to strike at any moment!

    TEENAGE LINE is both of these.

  • [Dismissive/annoyed] It's not because I'm lazy, it's just because I don't care.

  • [Protesting]  We're not stupid enough to go out there planning to die. You of all people should know that I've thought of what to do ahead of time.

TECHNICAL: Slight background noise, sounds a bit like you're in an open room. || VOICE/ACTING: I liked this impression a lot. You did pause in one spot, but then you corrected it in the second take. I messaged you about doing older versions of this character. I'll need to assess that as well.
