After years of hard work, Mal has finally gotten everything they want: their band, No Prospects, landed a coveted spot on the 2007 Friends and Foes summer tour, and their single has been getting some major play on the radio. So they should finally be happy, right?
Late 20s. Confident, charming, and perhaps just a little self-absorbed. No specific pitch or gender – as Mal’s appearance and identity is customisable by the player, we're looking for 2-4 voices of any gender for this role in order to provide options at character creation.
Slight Canadian accent. Originally from a small town in southern Ontario, but moved to New York at the age of 18. (Despite their claims to “not have an accent”, it is noted by their bandmates that they definitely still do – especially when they say “sorry”.)

“Do you need me to hold your hand? There are easier ways to go about that, you know.” [Playful, but also slightly reprimanding. Teasing a friend who they’ve just pulled out of harm’s way.]
“Yeah no, I'm not that pushy. Am I? Say no, Beckett.” [Indignant, demanding, but a little self-conscious. They’ve just been called out on their behaviour, and they’re bullying Beckett – their long-suffering childhood friend – into taking their side in an argument.]
