summer haze/glory days
GrantJohnson for Noah
The frontman of one of the biggest bands of the last decade – who also happens to be Mal’s former best friend and bandmate. He holds no grudge about whatever happened in the past, and even seems happy to run into Mal again on tour. Which, of course, just makes Mal feel worse about being so bitter all the time.
Late 20s. Masculine. Friendly, cheerful, and full of genuine confidence. He’s “made it” in life and doesn’t really feel the need to prove himself to anyone – the record sales and sold-out arena tours do all the talking for him.
Canadian or American accent. Originally from the same hometown as Mal, but moved to LA once he hit it big.

"I was so stoked when I saw that your new band was on this tour too! Congrats, dude, that's huge!" [Enthusiastic and good-natured. He’s genuinely glad that Mal’s new band seems to be doing well these days.]
"Caught that bug that’s been going around, huh? It happens. I’ll talk to you when you’re feeling better." [Concerned and sympathetic. He doesn’t quite buy Mal’s excuse to leave the conversation, but he’s willing to let it slide.]
