I would like to experiment with music. To that end, someone who appreciates the storytelling impact of music would be greatly appreciated. I hope to provide several musical references to develop background music, a main menu track, and potentially more. I strongly believe that a game is incomplete without a strong musical backing, and would love to indulge in the creative process alongside a musician who appreciates effective storytelling. The ability to manipulate a leitmotif should be a must!
There may also be a desire for custom sound effects of some sort - having this in your toolbox would be handy, but not required. If you don’t feel comfortable with sound effects, and the need for it arises in the project, then I’ll open up a slot for that, so no worrying about needing that skill.
Creating original music takes a lot of work, and I know that talent deserves compensation. I listed 500 dollars as the payment for this role because that is what I expect the music to amount to at the absolute most. However, based on project demands and your rates, I am willing to offer up to $750 total.
I recognize that the work time says 24 hours of work, which is what I expect you to be actively working at the absolute most. I will provide 250$ at the start, and I hope for this to cover the time it takes to produce a main menu track, a background track, and hopefully another track for ambiance of a game area. Based on your rates, I will offer up to an additional 500$ for music as the game has a need for it, and we can talk in person about these needs as they arise.
The development of this game should take about two months at the least. I would appreciate your presence for these two months, and I will call upon you to help with auditory assets as they are needed. You will not be actively working for two full months, as this is nowhere near a full time project. I'd be happy to discuss your rates in person if there are any questions or concerns!
