stacytee for Sayd
The final Guardian to have lines in this story. Sayd is a female Guardian but still has a lot of the same background notes. In this story Sayd serves as a bridge between Ganthet and Appa. She is certainly more willing than Appa to listen to the concerns of the Lanterns, but does believe in presenting a strong unified image of the Guardians. Sayd works very hard to keep the peace in the Guardian's chamber. It's quite possible that without her Ganthet and Appa would end up fist fighting like school boys. She very much want's Rot Lop Fan to remain in the corps, but does value the image of the Guardian's more, so she maneuvers everyone to a compromise to buy time opposed to wasting it arguing.
Sayd should also sound very old and wise, but in a more finessed manor. She considers everything she says carefully. Very matronly character.
You sound very upset. Tell us have you consulted with Mogo, doing so has
helped other lanterns work through the barriers which block their will.
Could not the same be done for you? (Imagine your Grandmother asking
if you've gone to a doctor)Indeed. Rot Lop Fan we would request time to consider your points.
Surely you would not object to staying on light duty for a few cycles
while we discuss what you have said. (Trying to put out a fire between
Ganthet and Appa that only she seems to be aware of, creating an
opportunity to handle the issue later/behind closed doors.)Will. A Will to fight, to save lives even though you fear you won't be
able to. The will to enter a doomed vessel when you know you may not
come back out. The will to summon the strength required to defeat an
armada by doing something with the Ring no one else had thought of.
(Big story moment here, She's discussing Will as the concept. Really
need to feel a lot of conviction behind this line, because right here is
where we're convincing Rot Lop Fan to remain in the corps.)
