- ABOUT THE ROLE: This is the second main character of "Swords and Roses", so consistency would be important for this role. If you're wanting a shorter term, look at the other roles below! We're looking for someone with the desire to finish season 1 (approx. 16 videos, about 8 minutes long each) and possibly interested in returning for season 2 next year. Obviously you won't be the only voice in those videos, you'll be alongside the rest of the cast. If you have a female voice actor friend that you have excellent chemistry with, please feel free to mention it in your submission! We'd love to have some great chemistry between the male and female leads.
- CHARACTER DESCRIPTION: Alder is the sole bodyguard for Princess Ambrosia (aka Rose). He is around 23 years old and is strong, independent and callous. The only person who has pierced is rather salty exterior is Ambrosia, who he has a crush on that he will never admit to himself. Alder was tasked with protecting Rose after her mother's death (the queen). Alder is a dragonite, meaning he's half human, and half dragon. He can fully transform into a dragon, so there will be sequences of Alder in dragon form speaking. *Note: You won't need to change your voice for this.* He is the dragon guarding her tower (like the classic fairytale) except he's not holding her hostage, it's his job to find a suitor worthy of her hand while protecting her from idiot suitors. Alder's love for Rose is buried deep, so although his sweet and caring side comes out conversationally, anytime she attempts to flirt with him, he dodges the subject or feigns uninterest during season 1.
- SIMILAR CHARACTERS: Alder's VA should have a similar tone/texture as Sylvain from "Fire Emblem: Three Houses", Naofumi from "Rising of the Shield Hero", Nathan Drake from "Uncharted 1".
