BACKGROUND: In Dr. Mechano, you play as an archetypal supervillain mad scientist. He build robots, use wacky gadgets, and fight a heroic arch-nemesis who tries to foil your schemes. One day, Mechano is digging in some ancient ruins, and discovers Mania, an ancient spirit who's been sealed away for a thousand years. Mania promises Mechano untold wealth and power in exchange for finding seven artifacts that will restore her lost magic. It remains to be seen if Mechano and Mania can trust each other.

PERSONALITY: Mania is mischievous. She embodies freedom and fun. Even when she commits acts of evil, she treats it like a game rather than bearing any malice. At the outset, Mania is simply using Mechano to help power her back up so she can go out and cause as much chaos and destruction as she likes. But a big part of the story of the game will be the opportunity for Mechano and Mania to actually bond and become friends; Depending on their relationship at the game's end, Mania might come to care about Mechano, his robots, and the world as a whole - so there is some depth and range to her, she's not just a chaos-loving force of nature.

VOICE: I'm imagining something brash and tomboyish. She's very casual, very prone to laughter, very fun-loving and daring. There are times when you'll have to reign it in a little for more poignent, emotional lines, but overall she's a very extroverted and spunky sort of character.
