Eliza’s closest friend. He is like a brother to the heiress, though at one point when they were children he did have an innocent interest in her. Atticus is extremely protective and tries to keep Eliza out of trouble or harm wherever he can; even if he does not think through his actions and their consequences, he tries to do what he thinks is best for her.

[Any pitch; possibly Medium or High]

[Charming, jokester, genuine, sweet, protective]

[Caucasian]

*Edit: I picture his voice similar to Liam Hemsworth's (with or without Liam's accent, both are suitable).

  • Introduce yourself!

  • (concerned, coaxing, but gentle) You can tell me anything, Liz. You know that. I can see that you’re in pain, so please, let me help you. Just tell me what's hurting, and I'll get rid of it.

(concerned, shocked) Your majesty, your daughter... Something is quite wrong. I believe a witch may have placed a hex on her mind. She is not acting herself, and I'm afraid we may lose her if we do not act quickly.

  • (somber) If you wish me gone, I must go. I will leave you be, and you may never see me again. I am sorry, I truly am. If it is in your power, I hope you may find the will someday to forgive me.

Thank you for your audition! Your mic is a little too muffled, but thank you for trying anyway. For some other feedback: you seemed to be simply reading the lines, so you could put a bit more emotion into them. Placing yourself in the character's mind really helps with this. You also seemed to mumble frequently; try speaking louder and clearer. After a while you'll gain confidence and you'll sound much better (I know I've definitely improved over the years because of confidence). Thank you again!

Thank you so much for commenting and actually giving good advice how would you suggest i fix the muffled mic? If you dont mind me asking?

Well, one major part is the microphone you're using itself. Some microphones are quality, and others just deliver really bad feedback, or just low quality in general. I have the Blue Yeti microphone, and though there are way better ones out there (USB mics aren't as quality as other professional ones can be), it's pretty good for the price. I got mine for about $80 on Amazon. Sometimes mics can also just be really touchy, depending on if your computer is running loudly or if there's an air conditioner on in the house. Try eliminating all background noise that you can. I usually keep my mic as far away as possible from my computer tower, and manually turn off my AC so it won't come on in the middle of my recordings. Placing padding around your microphone can also help stifle some background noise. I have mine in a shoebox with washclothes wrapped around it, and oddly enough, it helps. Putting a sock over your microphone can also help. Pop filters improve your quality too, because they suppress 'p's and 'b's, so they don't 'pop' the microphone. If you want to go to extremes, you can get soundproofing and all that jazz - I don't have the money for that, obviously, and neither do a lot of amateur actors like myself. I guess that's all I have for you, I hope I helped!
