Orchid is one of the Wing Masters, former commander of the Black Mage and Lotus' twin sister. Orchid was originally a shadow spirit with her sister Lotus, before the White Mage (before corrupted into the Black Mage) found them, granted them human form in exchange for their services to him. Orchid was excited and curious about this. Orchid and Lotus were ordered to kill Aria, the empress of Ereve, in the Black Mage's bid for war and conquest. This enraged Aria's lover, Phantom, to which he mercilessly beat Lotus putting her into a deep coma, leaving Orchid devastated. Later a scientist named Gelimer promised Orchid he could awaken Lotus, in exchange for helping him power the military warship Black Heaven. Little does Orchid know, Gelimer had shut off Lotus' brain and had brainwashed her, using her to power Black Heaven. Lotus is eventually defeated by the player, and after Orchid thinks she and her sister could finally be together, Gelimer kills Lotus for good for her failure. This sparks a change in Orchid, using her power Lotus gave her before she died, Orchid destroyed Black Heaven and vows vengeance on the Black Mage. She would mask her identity, and make strikes against the Black Mage, to avenge her fallen sister.
Who told you, you could take out Gelimer without me? ... What good is it for you? Just to save others... Hmph, I guess you don't have the energy to talk. How boring... *Sigh* (You're helping the playable character) Jeez, you're heavy! Walk straight! ... Hold up, it's not what it looks like! Take them, they took too much gas. Even if they survive... they'd be an emotionless, empty shell... In her final moments... Lotus was happy. Happy to be free of Gelimer.
(Vengeful) Black Mage... I'll never forgive you!
