"Life Happens" - An Upcoming Anime Series
Umi for Miss Kramer
Miss Kramer is Primrose High's Creative Writing teacher. She is a supporting teacher character throughout the series. She is generally well-liked by the student body, almost to the same degree they value Coach Callahan. As a Creative Writing teacher, she insists on creative freedom and freedom of expression. Her classroom rules are very lenient, to the point where students can curse with no repercussions, and the lessons she teaches are more valuable than any other subjects. She can be a tad overdramatic and has a very eccentric personality. Not as much as Sydney, but quite eccentric nevertheless.
Any kind of adult-sounding voice will do for this character, as well as any accent you would like to give her. This character has more free range voice-wise than any character currently up on this Casting Call. We look forward to hearing your interpretations of Miss Kramer.
[Miss Kramer likes to keep things real secret and have them be a big surprise. In an important episode later down the road, she mentions an idea for a thing that her class will do for an annual school event, but keeps it very vague and secretive.]
(excited) "My lot will be doing something really special! I can't reveal what it is, but it will be the best thing at the festival! Trust me."
[A general line that expresses Miss Kramer's boisterous personality, which can change from extroverted to introverted at the snap of a finger]
(boisterously) "In my Creative Writing class, you can express yourself however you want!" (sheepishly) "Just don't be too loud. We don't want to disturb the class next door."
[Miss Kramer loves writing, hence why she's a Creative Writing teacher. She is always willing to give praise where it's due. She'll even praise a story that is generally disliked by the student body, by which she meekly defends her stance.]
(meekly) "Well... I know the story is not to everyone's liking, but it's an excellent read if you're willing to accept the author's... sense of humor and... his colorful vocabulary."
This is a really good audition. The line delivery, pacing, inflections and emotions are all executed well here. I don't see any problems with this audition. Thank you for taking the time to audition. We will take this into consideration.
Thank you!
No problem.
