The birth of a new life isn’t something that is inherently sacred, it’s a process constantly repeated in some fashion by all living things capable of reproducing. The value of birth is placed by those who can benefit from it, social creatures who rely on its members for their combined survival and comfort. However not every birth is celebrated even within these groups. Mine was one such birth.
