Willy Wonka's father; he is a stern dentist who forbid his son to eat any candy so he wouldn't get cavities.  When Willy ran away to be a chocolatier, Wilbur disowned him and disappeared.  Charlie helps the two men reunite, and it is revealed that Wilbur has framed newspaper clippings of Willy Wonka's successes over the years, showing that he never truly stopped caring about his son.
