Akito has been a street musician since middle school. He looks up to An's father, Ken, who was a street musician as well, and keeps on training to surpass them.

He used to sing together with Toya under the name BAD DOGS before joining with An and Kohane to become Vivid BAD SQUAD.

His father is seen as emotionally neglectful to both him and his older sister, Ena. Their mother is spoken little of.

Akito appears to be an easygoing guy at first. However, his personality drastically changes when music is involved, becoming a hot-blooded and passionate person. He respects anyone who is passionate about their interest and hates half-hearted people. He is often seen being rude to some characters (Tsukasa) and is often misunderstood for his rude demeanor. It's easier to hate than it is to be sad.

Despite that, he is a very kind young man who always noticed when his friend is having a crisis, similar to his older sister Ena, an envious yet determined artist and social media star. Despite what he might say, he cares greatly for his friends and sister, though he'll never admit it.

When Akito meets someone new, he puts on a charming persona, which Toya calls his "nice-guy persona" and often calls him out on it.
