Unnecessary Evils
Anthony LoGatto for "Frank"
Frank is, at his core, the monster from Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. It's the inspiration for his creation; Von Hatecraft happened to read the book (and mainly watched some of the Boris Karloff movies) and was inspired to create his own man, simply to prove that he could do it. However, once he was born, Hatecraft neglected him almost immediately and left him to Vigor, who quickly and efficiently takes it upon himself to teach Frank about the world..and also to vent their general contempt against Hatecraft. As a result, Frank is quite melodramatic, apathetic and philosophical.
[Basic grunts and Frankenstein-Monster noises. It's only really required for the beginning of his life, so you could even skip this if you like]
[Speak with contempt; you've just been taught about the world you live in and your all-around jerk of a creator.] Hello, Father.. (brief pause, abt. 1-2 secs) Yes, I can talk, no thanks to YOU.
Vigor taught me everything. How I was born, how you left tending to me entirely to him, and ESPECIALLY how the cruel world around us works.
