Mir is the last Onyx Dragon, a race of powerful dragons once led by Afrien. 

Mir’s egg was lost somewhere in Leafre following the defeat of the Black Mage, where it was brought back to Afrien, king of the Onyx Dragons, by a warrior where it would be with Freud upon request. Centuries later, a young farm boy by the name of Evan would stumble across the egg and bring the egg and the pig back with him. After Evan reaches a specific power level, the egg will hatch and Mir will be formally born, where he would spend the rest of his time with Evan. In Heroes of Maple, Evan and Mir head to the Slumbering Dragon Island, where Afrien is rumoured to be resting, to find answers on what has become of the Onyx Dragon dynasty.   

Cult of Personality: Despite being a young Dragon, Mir is shown to be determined and steadfast, finding his way back to Evan after falling into a steep incline in a cave. He will always remain by Evan’s side through thick and thin, as demonstrated in Act 3, where Mir stays with Evan on Abraxas and would fight alongside Evan when Damien's soldiers infiltrate the ship. Being a young dragon is shown to be playful, teasing he’ll eat Evan more than one time for not having hope, calling people names and making jokes frequently in the saga. He does display an immaturity at times however, when he jokingly calls Luminous “Lumi” in Ellinia, a nickname Lilian coined. He also can become emotional over traumatic events, such as Afrien’s death.
