Evan is one of the six heroes, a magician and main protagonist in Heroes of Maple. Originally a farm boy, he would be thrusted into adventure and responsibility as the successor of Freud, the great magician of Maple, dragon master and hero.
This is because his predecessor Freud formed a special bond with Afrien, king of a proud, prosperous race of Dragons known as the Onyx. But Freud would be cursed by the Black Mage after sealing him away, which Afrien chose to share. The curse would destroy all the eggs of the Onyx dragon race bar one, and Afrien would fall into a deep inescapable slumber of ice. Freud’s last act of preserving the Onyx line would be to hide an egg, the last hope for the Onyx race, for a successor of the dragon masters to find it. Evan would find a sacred dragon egg that bore the mark of the Onyx. The egg would eventually hatch into Mir, successor of Afrien, and with that Evan formed a special bond with Mir through the Spirit Pact. Mir told him that they needed to fulfil their responsibilities as heroes, and successors of the bond of dragon master and Onyx Dragon dynasty.
In Heroes of Maple, Evan would go on a quest as a dragon master with Mir, successor of the Onyx dynasty, to discover the world, stop Damien from using the Tree of Life’s power to destroy anything he wants and search for Afrien to get answers on what Freud left behind.
Cult of Personality: Evan is a fairly typical anime protagonist. Naïve and innocent, but has a good heart, wants to help people and do the right thing. Evan is exceedingly kind and sweet, being the nicest and most easily approachable member of the Heroes. He is often doubtful about himself, trying his best to live up to Freud's legacy. Evan can easily get emotional, especially in stressful situations but he is also determined and strong willed and is able to compose himself.
Mir, where are you? Mir! ... *Sniff* It's all over... I'm going to die alone in a cave full of demons... No, this is no time to doubt myself... You can do this, Evan. Always look on the bright side, that's what dad would say. …Maybe his advice wasn't so helpful... Anyways, I shouldn't rely on Mir so much. I need to be able to take care of myself... I'll go on alone for now. Mir will find my eventually. We're connected.
(Anxious. Light Hearted) *Sighs* … I didn't think I'd be able to convince everyone, but I thought that at least SOMEONE would show up! Did I do something wrong? Maybe I'm not qualified to be Freud's successor... Yeah, you're right Mir! … Wait a minute, Mir. Did you just lick your lips!?
Freud, I've always doubted myself. Doubted my worthiness. From the moment I first met Mir, until this very moment. I couldn't understand why I, an ordinary farm boy, was entrusted with this power... with this fate. I want to discover what it is you left for me here. Freud... I want to prove that I am worthy of your legacy!
Hello, Wiz! I liked the amount of emotion that went into this audition, the audio quality was very good and your voice fits Evan quite well.
