The Last of Us: Notes and Letters VO (PAID)
Wyatt Henry for Voice Over Role
Ish keeps his mind on the white whale that is the goodness in humanity.
One open door. That's all it took. One of us forgot to close a door and a horde of those monsters entered our camp. We shut them in there and wrote a warning on the outside.
Susan and a couple of the kids are with me. As far as I know, we're the only survivors. I had to hold Susan so she wouldn't run back in there ā go back for the bodies. It's just too dangerous. She lost her children, and I have no clue what to say to her.
Every part of my being just wants to give up. It'd be so easy to surrender to this world. I can't do that, though. I have too much faith in humanity.
I've seen that we're still capable of good. We can make it. I have to stay strong... For her.

Great work! I love the contemplative nature of this, it really lends itself to the idea that this is a reflective note after all. It's missing the emotional journey for me. If you're willing to do another take, I'd love to hear the darkest version of this you can do. Lmk if that doesn't make sense!
Thanks! The way I see it, this note is a tile in a mosaic. That is to say that I'm not trying to take you on an emotional journey, just be a guy reflecting on and contemplating his day. I'm thrilled you got what I was doing. I'll leave my "darkest version" to your imagination. HINT: It's campy and overacted. Thanks again for the feedback!
