What am I going to do with you Jack? You’re no better than your father… remember he’d come in hunched over yourself… his hand on his back. And if I ever burned the toast he always said he liked it that way just so I wouldn’t have to throw it away... more stubborn than a mule. I would give the whole world Jack just to see that stubborn smile again.
Well Jack… about Bessie… well we just got a notice that the electric and water bill is due. And I couldn’t even convince Finnegan to get any groceries on loan today. Unil the harvest comes I think we have no choice but to hold ourselves over. There’s an auction to there today in town…
