Sam is Adriennes stepdad. She loves him like her real dad. Sam loves Adrienne like his own daughter too. He cares about her and her mother a lot and he too knew Dakota when she was growing up. But Sam is very respective of Adrienne and tries to help her. But defends her mother when Adrienne gets snappy.
