Wen Zhu, styled Chaohui (pronouced When Choo, Chow Hoi if I am correct) is the main character of the story, which is told from his perspective. Starting off during the Yellow Turban Rebellion, Wen Zhu sets off as a volunteer soldier to fight for the Han Dynasty. He also works as the story's narrator, giving insight from a future perspective looking back on events.

He is neither specifically pessimistic or optimistic, being someone who would try to see things for how he believed they were. At the start of the story, he is in high spirits and excited to join up with a man named Liu Bei to fight for his home.

He isn't the greatest warrior, or smartest strategist, but he isn't without his own bits of skill and luck.

  • The day I had met that leader is one I will never forget, even if I forget everything else.

  • If you get it set up, I might tag along. I'm Wen Zhu, styled Chaohui.

  • (Feel free to improv your own lines as well!)

I've given your audition a look over a few times. I'm not sure if this specific character is one that matches with your voice. The image I had for Wen Zhu is very different than someone like Midoriya from My Hero Academia. But don't feel disheartened. There are more names than I can remember in the Three Kingdoms, excluding the new and original characters I am adding to the story. From the Hero of Chaos, Lord Cao Cao, to the beautiful Diaochan. The Tiger, Sun Jian, and the Tyrant Dong Zhuo. The Sleeping Dragon Zhuge Liang and the Fledging Pheonix Pang Tong. Lady Sun Ren of the Southlands of Wu, and countless more! A role that fits you will surely appear! I also may add that Wen is his surname, or 'last name' for those in the US. In America, it would be Zhu Wen, but I am familiar with China's culture and study feverishly for this project. But thank you for making sure I knew.

I didn't mean the guy sounds like Midoriya. But Midoriya says in the first episode that "this is his story" that was all I was comparing it to since he also narrates for a moment. So what type of voice are you looking for? I didn't picture a deep voice. I thought somewhat more of the english Wei from Sleeping Dogs when I was done. Am I allowed to re audition? He just seems like a cool character. He is fictional so there is a lot more to work with here and I was most comfortable with him thinking about his character development. If you don't have much to do you could also check out some more manlier auditions I have put out. Thanks for listening. I appreciate the reply.

Also, would you recommend auditioning for any characters currently listed?

I would say give the Three Kingdoms era a look over and see what characters you'd like to audition for. Many of them will make an appearance somewhere in this story. Out of these current auditions, if one doesn't seem your style, I'm sure one that does will appear. You may also audition for multiple parts.
