Jason is a freshman at Springwell High, and York D'Amato's younger brother. He is popular due to his skill at soccer and his usually sunny, outgoing, and mischievous, sometimes obnoxious energy. He acts this way so often it is hard for him to actually convey how emotional he really is, and he can force his happiness for almost anyone as a defense mechanism. Even towards his brother York, whom he treasures most, Jason can be dishonest and insincere about his feelings. Otherwise, he is a fun and jovial person to be around and never fails to brighten someone's day.
Jason has a medium pitched, energetic voice. He can be pretty loudmouthed and likes to be paid attention to. The actor should be able to capture the contradictory nature of Jason's personality.
(Teasing, Mischievous ) Pfft-- Hahaha! You totally fell for it! I got you good this time, big bro! (Boisterous, Loud) Watch out, Students of Springwell High! This legendary prankster is gonna bless your boring, uneventful lives!
(Flirty, over-confident) Hey ladies~! I just wanted to remind you of how stunning you all are! But honestly- you'd look SO much better on me! (realizing he screwed-up, stammering) NO WAIT, WAIT! I- I meant- [imagine he's about to be given the beating of his life by these poor angry girls and is running away] AHHH! I'm sorry!!
(Vulnerable) Sometimes I worry that you'll leave me behind too. I don't know how to handle that thought, so... I try to laugh it off instead... (Perplexed) Isn't the pain supposed to get better when you numb yourself to it? Pass it off as a joke? I was convinced it would before, but now... I can't say the same.
